Omhagain Dayeen was born in the Sudan of Africa. She came to the US in 2004.

“My work is modern in style, but about traditional themes from my home in Sudan. My work was banned for a time, but I continued in my free expression.”

Ms. Dayeen holds a Masters Degree in Education from Sudan University of Science and Technology and taught art and design at Juba University, College of Art and Music. She plans to complete her PhD in Education.
